About
Those We Remember or Are Yet to Meet is a new solo exhibition by Nairobi-based artist Chemu Ng’ok. Six large figurative canvases anchor the show alongside two gestural abstractions and a ninth painting, drawing on family, community, ancestors and lives in transition.
Ng’ok turns memories, longings and psychological states into vivid physical form through acrylic and oil, gathering hazily rendered figures in bright yellows and pinks. The exhibition opens on Saturday 25 July and continues through 19 September 2026.
