About
Alexandra Karakashian extends her investigation of the natural world and material change. She treats crude oil as ancient sunlight: energy absorbed by living organisms, buried and transformed over geological time.
Large works on aluminium appear with paintings on canvas, works on paper and a spatial intervention. Together they ask what persists after rupture and what forms repair can take.
