About
The File Cannot Be Restored borrows the language of digital failure to reject the idea that history can simply be undone. Nicola Brandt, Sahlah Davids and Tshepiso Moropa begin with fragments: archives, family histories, found material and places marked by time.
Their works connect colonial histories, inherited traditions, spiritual memory and ecological change. The exhibition treats transformation as a form of continuity, not an erasure of what came before.
