About
99 Loop opened in August 2015 on the corner of Loop and Church Streets, in a building well over a century old. It has a particular focus on painting and works closely with both established and emerging local artists, running a new show most months.
The gallery sees itself as an accessible platform for artists whose work draws on personal, lived experience set against wider cultural currents. It is a fixture of the dense city-centre gallery strip.
Its corner site and street-level windows make it one of the more visible spaces on the First Thursdays walk.
