A gallery set in a Victorian house off Kloof Street in Gardens, showing contemporary African art alongside artists from abroad.
About
Christopher Moller Gallery was established in 2007 by Christopher Moller and Jaco Claassen and occupies a double-storey Victorian house on Kloofnek Road in Gardens. It shows contemporary art, with a focus on African artists alongside names from abroad.
What began as a project to support and promote artists has grown into one of the city's better-known contemporary galleries, and the domestic setting gives its shows an intimate, lived-in feel.
Its position on the edge of the City Bowl, below Table Mountain, makes it an easy add-on to a city-centre gallery walk.
