About
The Village Idiot opened in 2015 as a neighbourhood bar and restaurant on the corner of Loop Street, and has become one of the city centre's best-loved locals. Its open-air balcony looks out over the inner city and hosts a run of braai, beer and music events, while an indoor fireplace and pool table keep it going through winter.
Beyond food and drinks it programmes DJs, karaoke nights and First Thursdays nightlife. It is strictly for over-21s.
