About
THK Gallery was founded in 2018 by the collector Frank Schönau and is co-directed by Linda Pyke. It occupies a three-level building on Waterkant Street in De Waterkant and shows contemporary art from Africa and the Global South in dialogue with international artists.
The programme mixes established and emerging names and leans towards work that tests conventional boundaries. The gallery also runs a satellite project space in Cologne, giving its artists a foothold in Europe.
Its location puts it within easy walking distance of the De Waterkant and Waterfront gallery clusters.
